05 - Legacy to Series 400 Differences
This course is designed to provide a comprehensive differences training for pilots transitioning from the DHC–6 100/200/300 to the Viking Twin Otter Series 400 aircraft.
Duration
3 Days* (4 days if optional Final Assessment / PPC if required)

English proficiency training not required
Prerequsites
This course is designed for licensed pilots who are proficient to the ICAO/Transport Canada level of:
Aviation English (level 4)
Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
Multi Engine Instrument Rating (MIFR)
PPC/Type Rating or required experience on Twin Otter Variant
Note: A proficiency evaluation may be required prior to the commencement of this course to guarantee the timeline proposed herein.
Training Description
Ground School (GS)
Duration: 4.0 Hours
Cockpit Procedures Training
Duration: 12.0 Hours (4 hours – Day 1, 8 hours – Day 2)
Training Device: Twin Otter Series 400 Flat Panel Trainer
Full Flight Simulator Training (FFS)
Duration: 4.0 Hours
Training Device: Twin Otter Series 400 Level D Simulator
Full Flight Simulator Evaluation (FFS-E)
Duration: 2 hours per pilot
Training Device: Twin Otter Series 400 Level D Simulator
